Vintage Moroccan Rug 5'x5' Wool Amore Adore

Approximately 20-30 years old, this Berber carpet would have originally been made by a Berber woman belonging to the Beni Mahtir tribe for personal use in her own home. 

This vintage rug was made by a woman of a Berber tribe in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.

She created this Moroccan carpet with wool and small portions of cotton thread, and permitted herself personal freedom in expressing her own creativity and values through North African symbology and colors as she wove these designs.

This Moroccan rug is one of a kind, and can be used as a rug or wall hanging. 

The impressive feature of this vintage rug is the ability to see and showcase the effects of time passing, through the natural discoloring compared with the vibrant, natural colors initially used.

The medium pile makes this vintage carpet extremely versatile, being suited for high-traffic areas, as it has already proven to pass the test of time, but also to bring together a cozy room.
